Analysis of Resource Use Efficiency and Profitability of Wheat Production in Kailali District, Nepal

A study was done in 2021 the Kailari rural minicipality, Gauriganga municipality, Godawari and Dhangadhi sub-metro politian city of Kailali district to analyze economics wheat production. total 200 samples (50 from each village) were selected by using a simple random sampling technique. Most respondents (91 percent) had agriculture as primary occupation. The area under (Triticum aestivum) cultivation per household 0.6 hectare with no significant difference between super zone Prime Minister Agriculture Modernization Project non-super areas. average production 1814.5 kg whereas yield 3.3 mt/ha. cost NRs. 64,526.62 B:C ratio found be 1.492. Cobb-Douglas function showed that fertilizer, pesticide, land preparation, irrigation, threshing costs contributing factors return scale 0.261. An Index severity constructed problems area. Weed infestation, lack fertilizers, insect pests three major problems.
